The study published by Lindorsson et al. from the University of Gothenburg found significantly lower intramuscular pressure in the posterior and lateral compartments compared to the anterior compartments of the lower leg. Thus, common cut-off values for diagnosing chronic exertional compartment syndrome should be reconsidered.
