Klaus Bak disclosure

Dr Klaus Bak, was born and grew up in Denmark, where he became MD at the Copenhagen University in 1985. He got his clinical training at the Ortopaedic Department at the Gentofte University Hospital and completed a fellowship at the Mercy Private Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.

He is currently a Senior Consultant and a co-owner of The ADEAS Hospitals in Skodsborg & Parken in Copenhagen, Denmark.
 
His research focus has been ACL treatment, swimmer’s shoulder, scapular dyskinesis, rotator cuff diagnosis and lately the natural history of acute AC-joint dislocations in collaboration with Sports Orthopaedic Research Center at Copenhagen University Hospital of Hvidovre.
 
He has authored more than 40 papers and six book chapters in orthopaedic surgery, shoulder surgery and sports medicine, and has been an invited speaker at several national and international congresses and courses.

He is currently Associate Editor of the KSSTA Journals Shoulder Section. He is the former Chair of the ISAKOS Upper Extremity Committee, former Chair of the Danish Association of Sports Medicine and of the Scandinavian Foundation of Medicine and Science in Sports.
