Nicolas Pujol disclosure

Dr Nicolas Pujol is Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Centre Hospitalier de Versailles in Le Chesnay, France. 

He has been the director of the department of Orthopedics since 2015, succeeding his mentor Dr Philippe Beaufils.

The Orthopaedic department of the Centre Hospitalier de Versailles is ESSKA, SFA and ISAKOS approved teaching center.

Before going to the Centre Hospitalier de Versailles, Dr Pujol completed three separate clinical fellowships; a clinical shoulder and knee fellowship in 2005 under Profs. Pierre Chambat and Gilles Walch at the Centre Orthopedique Santy in Lyon, France, a shoulder fellowship under Prof. Philip Ahrens at the Royal Free Hospital in London in 2006 and a shoulder and knee arthroscopic fellowship with Profs. Alain Lortat-Jacob and Philippe Hardy at the Ambroise Pare Hospital in Boulogne, France, in 2007.

He participated in the European arthroscopic traveling fellowship with ESSKA, AGA and SFA in 2006, and the AOSSM-ESSKA traveling fellowship in 2015.

He is a new Associate Editor of KSSTA as a representative of SFA (French Speaking Arthroscopic Society).

He was also General Secretary (2017 to 2019) of the French Arthroscopic Society (SFA) Board as well as the Scientific Secretary (2015 to 2017). He is also active member of ESSKA, SFA, SOFCOT, ISAKOS.

He is a member of the ESSKA Arthroscopy Committee since 2014, and the past-chairman of the U45 Committee. 

He has written more than 100 papers in international journals and given numerous scientific presentations. He wrote more than 40 chapters in referenced books, most of them being ESSKA books, meniscus books etc.

Currently, he is focused on sports pathologies and knee arthroscopies concentrating mainly on the meniscus both repair and reconstruction. He also performed many complex knee reconstructions (multiligament injuries, cartilage repairs, osteotomies) and knee replacements (primary total, uni and also revisions).
