Prof. Reha N. Tandogan is a senior member of Cankaya Orthopaedics, Ankara, Turkey, a 10-surgeon private group specialising in joint preserving surgery and arthroplasty. His main focus is arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the knee, including multi-ligament injuries, cartilage repair, orthobiologics, osteotomies, primary and revision knee arthroplasty.
Prof. Tandogan is the Vice-President of ESSKA’s EKA section and also the current Chair of the Arthroplasty Committee of the Turkish Society of Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery.
He has a keen interest in orthobiologics and is a board member of the Global Regenerative Academy, a multi-specialty, multi-national collaboration of scientists working of various aspects of regenerative medicine.
He has served as the President of the Turkish Society of Sports Traumatology and is the former president of the Turkish Society of Preventive Hip Surgery. He is a former board member and an active instructor at the Turkish Society of Sports Traumatology, Arthroscopy and Surgery.
Prof. Tandogan is the author of one English and nine Turkish books on knee surgery and sports traumatology. He has published 76 scientific articles in international journals and 67 articles in the Turkish literature (h-index 24). He is very active in teaching and education, he lectures extensively at national and international meetings, regularly organises cadaver courses and symposia.
